1. Service
Star Scribe provides local astronomy calculations, an object catalog, observation records, statistics, optional location, optional Apple WeatherKit enhancement and a Pro entitlement. It is for amateur observing planning, not professional astronomy, navigation, emergency alerts or official weather advice.
2. Results
Calculations are offline planning grade and are not arcsecond measurement grade. Actual visibility depends on weather, terrain, atmospheric transparency, light pollution, equipment and observer conditions.
3. Your records
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of records, coordinates, notes, exports and photos. Keep backups of information you need.
4. Weather
Weather is optional and off by default. If enabled, current coordinates are sent to Apple WeatherKit. Service availability and quota are controlled by Apple. A failure does not affect offline astronomy.
5. Pro purchase
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. RevenueCat verifies entitlements. Prices, taxes, refunds and availability follow the applicable App Store rules.
6. Safety and liability
Choose a safe observing location. Never observe the Sun without certified solar equipment. The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Changes
We may update these terms when the app or legal requirements change. The version and date above identify this website copy.
